Workers' compensation, is a government-mandated program under the Lebanese Labor Law 136.  It covers workers who become injured or ill on the job. In case of claim, the policy will provide cash benefits, medical cover benefits to workers suffering injury or illness as a direct result of their jobs.

This is a popular policy, acquired by companies who need to transfer this risk to insurers. By accepting workers’ compensation benefits, the employee waives his or her right to sue their employer for damages.
